As you may be aware, the facilities team have been making plans and guidance for everyone’s safe return to our buildings in the coming weeks. We are currently planning to re-open all of our facilities to Students from the Monday 6th of July. To make this possible we have implemented new procedures which cover all aspects of your return, you will hear more about these over the coming weeks.
This notice is to inform you all of the updates we have made to the booking system which follow these new procedures, so that you can begin to reserve bookings from the 6th July. You can view the entire document here.
Below is a short summary of some of the key changes to our operations.
· Bookings still to be made via the Online Booking System: https://bookings.futureworks.ac.uk/
· Bookings can be created for the 6th July, from the 22nd June.
· Booking allowances have not changed.
· Use and participation of pre-booked classrooms to be authorised by facilities staff.
· Riverside may close at 8 pm if there are no bookings beyond 6 pm.
· Special Requests are still available, though subject to review. (https://my.futureworks.ac.uk/pluginfile.php/37794/mod_resource/content/1/Special%20Request%20Form.pdf)
· Booking duration rules have been updated to 6 hours per studio.
· Each studio is only available for one booking per day.
· Selected studio closures rotated every weekend.
· In-house drum kits provided in the SSL and Shared Live Room only; personal drum kits permitted for other studios.
· Weekend availability at Media City is limited to collection and drop-off of equipment only, studio space will not be available.
We understand that these measures will temporarily reduce the amount of facilities availability, and we thank you for your cooperation with and understanding of the health and safety measures implemented.
In addition to the measures we have implemented in response to COVID-19, we are here to support your learning and experience at Futureworks, just at more of a distance.
